Agustina Ros is an artist who seeks to combine, through glass, the sensitivity of art and the resolution of design.

She was born in Misiones, Argentina. Now, she currently resides in Barcelona, Spain, where she opened her own studio with international projection. Her jewelry is crafted with borosilicate glass, modeled and blown by the technique of flameworking. Some pieces are worked with fine metal fuming (gold and silver), and carved and polished, which generates a faceted surface, looking for light reflection.

My designs are simple, minimal yet complex”.

“I choose glass as my raw material for excellence because with glass, I create with different techniques what I have imagined. Coming from an old technique as a starting point and bringing it into modern shapes. I create contemporary jewelry and unique pieces of art and design. My creative process begins at the torch. I work with both large and small flames, depending on the piece I want to achieve. Blow and model. Then, I vaporize noble metals like gold and silver to dye the glass with shades that naturally fade. When I want to generate textures on the pieces I resort to coldworking techniques like engraving and faceting. In constant exploration, I inspire myself and look into the past that created my present and that defines the future. My designs are simple, minimal yet complex”.
